February 2012 ---The President's notes:
Here we are jumping into February already.  We have several workshops planned for this year.  Please check our web page www.manateehavendecorativeartists.org and see whats happening for February and March.  Pat Otto will be getting April, May and June ready for the first part of the year.  We would like anyone who would be interested in teaching to contact Pat for a month you would like to participate in teaching a workshop.  It doesn't have to be a difficult piece.
We have changed banks and the new one is Wells Fargo.  Carole Tamms (treasurer). If we have any outstanding checks from the Inglis bank you need to return it to Carole.  We can discuss this at a board meeting.
As you know from our January meeting, we are continuing to ask for a volunteer to help with foster baskets and our foster child.  This is one of our helpful charities during the Christmas Holidays.
Again I will be asking for a volunteer to chair the Christmas Party.  Our Christmas Party (as usual) is a great success and full of joy.  This has always been our fun time to enjoy eachothers company and friendship.  We need your help.  Our officers can't do this without your suport.
What a wonderful seminar we had with Sharon Kuester.  She is a great teacher and said she would enjoy coming back to teach again.  Check out her website, www. sharonkuester.com, to see what she has to offer for classes and also what she has for sale.
Our next workshops will be taught by Allie Lockman in February and Bea Peterson in March.  Contact Pat Otto (Programs) if you would like to teach a class.
