MARCH 2012--The President's note:
Please notice additions to the supplies list for April!   T-square, Tracing paper and a sponge with holes.
A big thanks to Allie for the painting workshop in February.  All the paintings looked great and yet so different.

The board had its first meeting which was very productive.

Please check our web page www.manateehavendecorativeartists.org and see what's happening for March, April and May.  I will be teaching for April and May.  Alice will be teaching for June.  Pat Otto has the first part of the year full and July is our break month.  Look on our web page to see what is happening for the last part of the year.  Carol Sheftic is scheduled for August.  All of these are posted on the web page under WORKSHOPS.  Anyone interested in teaching, contact Pat for a month you would like to participate in teaching a workshop.  It doesn't have to be a difficult piece.
If you have information on any member who has been under the weather please let Bea know.

We have changed banks and the new one is Wells Fargo.  Carole Tamms (Treasurer) is doing a fine job. Thanks Carole.

We will be handing out a questionnaire to each of you to get our new meeting place under way.  If possible please fill it out at the March meeting and return it to me so we can get a committee together to review it before we can make any dicisions.
Again we need to ask for a volunteer to help with foster baskets and our foster child.  This is one of our helpful charities during the Christmas Holidays.  Also the board would like to get a volunteer to chair the Christmas Party.  We need your help.

Again check out the new website. www.manateehavendecorativeartists.org.  Lynda Goodman has been doing a great job of maintaining it. She will be adding more information to it. Members may forward information for the web, anyone having great receipes and news, please contact Lynda.

Stay happy and keep painting, we'll see you all on the second Saturday in March
